Ineffable experiences, feelings, dreams; it is hard to find words that express these things. Here are my favorites from a list of uncommon words. Some are more useful to me than others, but isn't that the way of it? You will find different ones that speak some feeling of yours perfectly. Of course, these are bound to be hard to use because they are complex words about complex things. I find some deep gratification, though, in knowing that somebody somewhere at some time had a similar experience and did manage to coin the perfect word to convey it. Connection is a rare thing. OSTRANENIE: (n.) encouraging people to see common things as strange, or unfamiliar; defamiliarizing what is known in order to know it differently or more deeply.
