HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW

FLY OVER oil 30 x 40" and me, appearing at the San Diego Museum of Art this summer in the installation, “15 Minutes Of Fame”

Talk about honored: This summer, I was invited to be one of 30 San Diego artists who participated in a show at the San Diego Museum of Art. The installation, “15 Minutes of Fame”, curated by Lauren Carrera and Prudence Horne, was part of the museum’s Summer Break program, a mix-up of attractive events that invite visitors and locals into the museum for a different take on looking at and loving art. This show invited us to bring in one piece to share with invitees and passers-by, to be a part of this wonderful group of local talents. How often do you get to see living artists in a museum? And to hear what they themselves have to say–no docent as stand-in for the artists? Great experience. For their vision, all the hard work of organizing, and for this opportunity to meet and greet the public and each other, Big thank yous to Lauren Carrera and Prudence Horne. San Diego Artists Come Together--how cool is that?
